Carton Boat

The team works together to think and design the boat, make a construction plan and assemble it all. Teamwork is essential, so as efficient communication and sharing ideas. Creativity stimulates the search for original solutions in order to create an object that is able to float and be stable.

Not only that: once the boats are ready, they are tested in the water, where they have to navigate with a person or two onboard, along a given track, in a fun and friendly speed challenge with the other teams.

The team members have to use all their abilities and skills to build a functional boat and face the water challenge. Efficient communication and sharing responsibilities are key factors to succeed!

This activity surely inspires creativity and engineering skills: you need original ideas in order to create a boat made of just cardboard and tape, that is able to float and stay straight. It is possible! Use creativity, problem solving skills,
